I think it's the soldier's worst nightmare when the government doesn't tell them the reason they're going out there dying. The people at the top just don't bother to give the people, or the soldiers, their best justification, or if they do, it's really not clear or doesn't settle well. So I thought I'd go over the different possibilities.1. I think some White House person admitted this, it was really Israel's war and we weren't able to say no, so we got sucked into helping and going after Iran with Israel. Now we can guess Israel's motivation, which has to do with the nukes and missiles pointed toward Israel, and there's no question Iran has been threatening Israel with them for a long time. But it is also at very low capability at the moment. We're kicking them when they're down. I'm not really sure this is a good reason for our people to be dying.
2. We're sick of their reactionary, religious-zealot leadership. On this one I'd like to point out that they did what our leader wants to - set up a cultural revolution that was reactionary. They succeeded. Their women cover up. Everyone has to profess the same religion.
3. It's the Crusades. We're us and they are them. Case dismissed. More later.
