happy holidays

I'm on break; barely able to keep up with the rush of things, and not blogging much, due to family visitors & occupation of computer quarters. My son, home from college, brought The Language Instinct (Pinker) which he'd been using as a textbook; maybe I'll get a look at it before he goes. I have other goals too, but the first is just being ready for family & the holiday rush. I"ll see you in 2007, if not sooner!

Dear Tom,

A long hello from Pukkie in Thailand. Around mid Dec. last year I changed my job from Colgate to Diageo. I pack my things from previous office and put your letter on top of everything. When I came to my new office (which is already 1 year old) I put your letter in my new drawer. Planning to write a card to you one day...until my drawer is full with papers. I throw many away and keep yours, thinking this Chrismas I'm not gonna miss it again. One day, I decided to look for your hame in the internet and aha!! I found your blog. This is great. I can write anytime and take just a few minutes to reach you.

My life has been busy since my family decided to build a new house 2 years ago. We are still putting it together..wall, gate, window, ligthing, flooring, furnitures and painting. Also my current house is full of new family members. I have 1 niece and 3 nephews. The last one from my sister who married to Belgium chololate maker. Her baby is very cute. He is only 10 months old but already wears 18 months clothes.

I keep in touch with friends from Pittsburg but we did not meet often. Boys who attended ESL classes are grown up. Wiwat has 2 kids. My roommate - Haruthai has a five years old kid. Adisak has only one girl and already 8 years old. We are well and working hard. Works is very demanding.
I'm working as a consumer planner for alcohol beverage company. I almost gave up after 3 months when I found I had little knowledge in this industry and I didn't have night life. But this job is a big challenge and I keep challenging myself to move on. Here I'm succesfully hold on to this job for 1 year. This is my great acheivement this year. My next acheivement is to complete housing contruction and move into my new room with large balcony and quiet corner.

At this special occasion, I wish you and your family a great year full of success and a lot of happiness and warmth.

Stay in touch,
Pukkie (pooh_prapaporn@yahoo.com)
