welcome 053!

053 starts now, while it's still spring and beautiful, and for a change I'm only teaching part-time, afternoons only. Mornings I'm hanging around with my children writing haiku while my wife teaches sociology in Parkinson, the building with both dinosaur bones and TOEFL (is this a coincidence?)...I only noticed the dinosaur bones recently.

Online CESL Today is now two volumes late, but there are lots of reasons, and I will catch up eventually if not soon. All those old ones have to get the new template too...

Finally, I'm thinking about TESOL 2006 & whether I want to go to FLORIDA...

052 in the rearview mirror

It was a long term, since my Newstalk class was full and my EAP2 class was intense as usual (check out the powerpoints at the bottom)...and, congratulations to Rachel and Hoon for best weblog of 052...

Here's the latest from SIUC. All webpages must have a new template and conform to a new template policy, must have a red sign in the corner, all old logos are now illegal, privacy policy must be on all pages, etc. etc. For CESL this is a mammoth undertaking, made worse by the forced design when I was just learning how to make them decent. So, I've been writing bad template design haiku but haven't yet inserted any of them, hidden-like, into the new pages. Stay posted...
